Clayton Williams joined the firm in December of 2024. He graduated from Auburn University in 2015 and Cumberland School of Law in 2019. Before coming to Tobias & Comer Law, Clayton gained experience as a law clerk in Baldwin County for Judge Clark Stankoski, presiding judge of the Twenty-Eighth Circuit Court, and Mobile County Circuit Judge Jill Phillips in the Thirteenth Circuit Court. Then, Clayton worked nearly 5 years at the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office honing his trial skills while seeking justice for victims.

Serving as an Assistant District Attorney assigned to both District and Circuit Courts, Clayton tried more than two dozen jury trials, serving as first chair in the majority of those complex, serious cases. He also has experience trying hundreds of bench trials and conducting countless dockets, getting to know nearly every judge in Mobile County. During his time at the DA’s office, Clayton solidified his reputation as a tough but fair attorney in search of a just result.

After growing up in Montgomery, Clayton enjoys living in Mobile with his wife. If he is not at home grilling, you can often find him spending time downtown, on the Gulf, or cheering on the Auburn Tigers.
